The following review written by one of the Software Informer contributors applies to version 6.2
Aiseesoft MXF Converter is a program that can help you convert MXF files to the most popular video formats such as MKV, MP4, FLV, 3GP, SWF, AVI, WMV, VOB, etc.
From the beginning, it should be noted that this trial has restrictions on conversions.
Namely, if the file has more than 5 minutes, it converts only the first 5, and if it has less than 5 minutes, it converts half of it. Although the title says that it can only convert MXF files, the app can support five more formats: ts, tp, trp, mts, and m2ts. With a welcoming and intuitive interface, this tool eases the process of conversion you want to perform. Whether you don’t know or don’t remember the file format’s name supported by your device (I refer to iPod, iPad, Nokia), the possibility of making a mistake is almost zero, because the program provides conversion formats classified according to the devices. Once you've decided both what files to convert and to what format, you have multiple editing choices, namely 3D, Crop, Effect, Watermark, Audio, all of them offering at their turn enough options to get the conversion result closer to your desires. Moreover, all changes can be instantly previewed in an additional window. Here you can find 'Clip' - a useful feature that allows you to split large files or to merge smaller ones. And if during the previewing you want to capture a frame, the Snapshot function provides this option on the spot. You can choose among 3 output formats: JPEG, BMP and PNG.
The program is designed both for those who seek for a simple and efficient conversion process using the app’s presets, and for more exigent users; this tool provides enough options to please them all. It is a complete program, with functions that work properly. With no unnecessary buttons and without consuming too many computer resources, I think this app is worth trying. I personally didn’t find anything not to like.
